A Simple Pre-Wedding Skincare Timeline: 90 Days to the Big Day
A realistic 90-day pre-wedding skincare timeline for Indian brides — what to actually do each month before the big day, from our therapists in Vindhyachal.

Month 3 (Days 90–61): build the foundation
This month is about consistency, not intensity.
- A simple daily routine — cleanser, moisturiser, SPF every single day; the SPF part gets skipped most often and matters most
- One facial suited to your skin type, to establish a baseline
- Cut down on late nights and outside food where you can — skin shows sleep debt faster than most people expect
- Patch test anything new on your inner arm 48 hours before using it on your face
Month 2 (Days 60–31): treat and target
Now that your skin has adjusted to a routine, this is the window for anything more active.
- Book facials every three weeks — vitamin C for dullness, or a classic clean-up if congestion is the issue
- Address specific concerns now — pigmentation, tan or persistent breakouts; this is the last comfortable window for anything that needs a few sittings to work
- Keep hydration up — two litres of water a day does more for visible glow than most products will
Month 1 (Days 30–8): taper down
This is where brides often make the mistake of trying to do more, when the goal now is to do less, more carefully.
- Last facial or targeted treatment should land around 10 to 14 days before the wedding, not closer
- No new products, no new salons, no trying a remedy a relative suggested
- Continue your basic routine and hydration — this is maintenance, not a sprint
Final week: protect, don't experiment
By now the plan should feel boring, and that's exactly right.
- One light, calming facial at most — nothing exfoliating or aggressive
- Sleep is now non-negotiable; skin repairs overnight and this is when it shows
- Keep hands off your face, change pillowcases more often, and avoid trying anything you haven't used before
If you're starting later than planned
Most brides don't get the full ninety days, and that's fine — tell us your actual timeline and we'll prioritise what matters most in the time you have, rather than run through a routine built for a longer runway.

Frequently asked questions
What if I only have a month before my wedding, not ninety days?
Focus on hydration, one or two gentle facials, and sleep — those give visible results fastest. Skip anything that needs multiple sittings to show change.
Which treatments should I avoid in the final week before the wedding?
Anything new — new facials, new products, aggressive exfoliation or first-time treatments of any kind. The final week is for maintenance, not experimentation.
Do I need to see a dermatologist as well as a beautician?
If you have active acne, a diagnosed skin condition, or pigmentation that hasn't responded to facials, yes — we'll tell you honestly if something is beyond what a facial can address.
